Q: I "found"on my Hyacinth (that I had planted @ the end of Spring)part of the plant had died & dried up.?

That "part" I picked it apart & it was just like Little TINNY peas,but hard like seeds.SO I'm wondering, is This what you plant to start growing "bulbs"????

A: Yes, it's possible the seeds will eventually grow a new hyacinth, but it takes YEARS to go from seed to a bulb large enough to flower. And most often - the seeds are sterile, and don't germinate. In the future, after the flowers fade - go ahead and cut OFF the spent flower stalk, so that the bulb will not sink a bunch of energy into making dead-end seeds, but rather store more energy for next year's flower.
