HARDEST PARTHardest Part Q&A
Q: I am going to be building a computer soon but a guy i know who has built a pc said.......? "it will take you 1 hour to build the computer but it’s the things after that, that are the hardest part" once i have built the computer how hard is it to actually get everything on it and working? Thanks Karl A: First build is really challenging. BUT just follow the motherboard manual and you won't go wrong. You can actually test your build halfway through. Even w/out HDD, CD drive and FDD, bare minimum set up should be able to beep once, display POST and open BIOS menu. After completing your build, OS installation is easy, about 40 minutes. After initially booting from OS installation CD, do not boot from CD again. Installation will proceed automatically, just follow the instructions. After the OS, immediately install the motherboard chipset drivers and drivers of other devices that you are installing on the graphics slot or PCI slots. PC is now ready for your favorite softwares/applications including games.
