Q: I'm singing go the distance from Hercules but I'm having trouble getting to the high notes. Any tips?

I'm sixteen, male and the song has been transposed down 5 semi-tones. The line I'm having particular difficulty with is "But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part"

A: for that part..try sliding up from the low note to the high instead of trying to hit it straight on. so basically take one deep breath for each line breathe: but to lookbeyondtheglory is the hard^est part --imagine a hill starting low then going up and coming back down--- breathe:A hero's strength is measured by his heart now while singing "his heart" imagine a valley starting with his then going down and building up for heart
